Google was in search of a manual benchtop method for assembling their new employee security badges, following challenges and failures encountered with an automated press machine. They were aiming for a more straightforward and dependable manual approach.

This was a sprint project, and upon its completion, we provided one benchtop unit and a handheld design. However, the project did not advance further due to the Covid-19 pandemic, which resulted in the Google campus being largely vacant for over two years.
